As I enter my 29th year since diagnosis I reflect back on what my surgeon told me after my first resection and he wanted me up and walking around. It's today's quote of the day...
My first resection was 44 yrs. ago this fall in 1973. I was 25 and it took them a long time to diagnose me. When I finally was released and had a follow-up appt. with my physician, he said, "now don't go and join a Crohn's Disease club like some people do. I wanted to say "are they nuts?" I shared a bathroom with 24 other people and when I got an enema, the enema giver would have to go out in the hall and look to see if the bathroom was empty. I would wonder and what in the hell is going to happen if by the time you are finished it's in use again. The whole thing was a nightmare!!!

I totally get where you're coming from (except for the 24 people sharing)
